Godot 4 beta + site update

In case you haven’t heard, the Godot 4 beta is here! Which also means it’s time for me to get to work on updating some of the content on this site for Godot 4. Some topics are deprecated and only relevant to Godot 3, some just need a brief refresh, and others have changed significantly and need a complete revisiting. So now that there’s a feature-complete version of Godot 4 available, that’s what my Godot content will be focused on for the forseeable future. I do still have plenty of new (and hopefully interesting) content lined up that’s not specific to Godot, but don’t expect much in the way of new Godot content until I’ve done at least a few update posts.

Figuring all of this out will be an ongoing process so I can’t say how long it’ll take or what topics I’ll cover (though setter and getter functions come to mind as do some extra updates for state machines), but I hope to have a good amount of Godot 4 content ready for the final release, when most of you are expecting to switch to Godot 4 based on a previous survey on YouTube.

So sit tight and feel free to reach out for topic suggestions or if you’re curious about any specific differences between 3 and 4.
